Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at Henderson Scott. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership across the full project lifecycle, from design and development to verification.

About the Role

As the main technical point of contact with the customer, you will manage requirements, maintain compliance verification matrices, and guide the team through major gate reviews. You will generate Engineering Management Plans and provide governance to ensure project delivery is aligned with risk assessments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide governance to ensure project delivery is aligned with risk assessments
  • Manage sub-contract work packages
  • Oversee configuration control
  • Ensure compliance with ECSS standards for Front-End Electronics and Payload Systems
Requirements
  • Good Systems Engineering experience within a complex environment such as aerospace, defence or space
  • Broad knowledge across the full systems V lifecycle
  • Experience of being the technical leader of a complex project and the ability to guide it from concept to delivery
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to manage customer expectations
  • Good technical presentation and document writing skills
