Job Purpose:
In the role of Manufacturing Technician, you will be essential in providing technical assistance to the Shift Supervisor.
Your main duty will be to ensure that both scheduled and unscheduled tasks are executed effectively, efficiently, and in line with company and customer standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Execute tool changes, color adjustments, settings, and troubleshooting.
2. Conduct maintenance on machinery and tools.
3. Offer support to non-technical team members.
4. Ensure all tasks are completed following relevant work instructions.
5. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the department throughout shifts.
6. Strictly adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.
7. Accurately complete quality, production, and machine setup documentation.
8. Comply with all relevant legislation and company procedures.
9. Support the smooth operation of the department by responding to additional requests from both technical and non-technical staff.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria:
- Technical qualification
- Proven competence in a technical or engineering environment
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of objectives
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Confidence in questioning existing practices and pursuing continuous improvement
- Team-oriented with effective collaboration skills
- Diligent and thorough work ethic
- Logical and methodical problem-solving abilities
- Eagerness to learn and develop new skills
- Capability to follow instructions and complete tasks as required
Desirable Experience:
- Qualification in Plastic Processing, City and Guilds, or equivalent
- Experience in Injection Stretch Blow Moulding, including machine settings and tooling
