Gregory Distribution is seeking a dedicated and experienced HGV Class 1 (CE) driver to join our growing team. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to work as a tramper, delivering goods across the UK.

As a key member of our transport operations, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting refrigerated cargo to various destinations. Your role will involve loading and unloading your vehicle, interacting with customers both in person and over the phone, and maintaining regular communication with our transport team to ensure smooth deliveries.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate a Class 1 (CE) refrigerated vehicle for nationwide deliveries.
  • Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently.
  • Provide excellent customer service, interacting with clients professionally both in person and over the phone.
  • Maintain regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on progress and manage customer expectations.
  • Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and driving standards.
Requirements:
  • Valid UK HGV Class 1 (CE) Licence.
  • Current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC).
  • UK Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Experience with refrigerated trailers is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.
  • Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
