Overview: Teaching Personnel is collaborating with a welcoming mainstream Primary School in search of a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support Assistant to join their team.
Position: 1:1 SEN Support Assistant
Location: Weymouth DT4
Compensation: £84-£94 per day, depending on experience.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
Duration: Initially for the Autumn Term, with the possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to a Year 1 pupil with specific needs, including ASD, ADHD, and global developmental delays, along with personal care assistance.
- Facilitate learning through play-based activities tailored to the pupil's individual requirements.
- Monitor and report on pupil progress to the class teacher, engaging in discussions about development and guided learning.
- Assist in the Year 4 classroom during the afternoons, supporting the classroom teacher with assigned tasks.
