Job Title: Neonatal Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Consultant to join our team at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital. As a key member of our Neonatal Unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to newborns and their families.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will work closely with our team of experienced Neonatal Consultants to provide comprehensive care to patients with complex medical and surgical needs. You will be expected to work independently and as part of a team to deliver excellent patient outcomes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide patient-centered care to newborns and their families, respecting their privacy, dignity, and choice.
  • Work collaboratively with Consultant Neonatal colleagues to provide inpatient neonatal services within the hospital.
  • Deliver high-quality neonatal care, utilizing evidence-based practice and best available research.
  • Assist in the development of a consultant-led approach to Neonatal Paediatrics.
  • Share administrative duties with the team, as allocated by mutual agreement.
  • Participate in teaching and training activities, including undergraduate and postgraduate education.
Person Specification
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council.
  • 2 years of relevant clinical neonatal experience in a busy Neonatal Unit.
  • On the GMC's Specialist Register or within six months of CCT at the time of interview.
  • MRCPCH or equivalent qualification.
  • NLS Certification.
  • Valid BLS Training.
  • NLS Instructor.
Requirements
  • Able to travel to meet the requirements of the post, with access to own transport.
  • Agree to live within 30 minutes of the hospital.
