Automotive Technician

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic MET Technician to join our team at Stoneacre Motor Group. As a key member of our Bodyshop team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality vehicle repair work to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities- Remove and refit mechanical and electrical trims/panels/components on vehicles.
- Ensure stripping and rebuilding work is carried out in a professional and correct manner, with final quality checks undertaken in line with applicable standards.
- Dismantle vehicles ready for the panel area.
- Carry out inspections and order replacement parts as required.
- Re-assemble the vehicle with new parts to pre-accident condition.
- Strip and fit components, bodywork, and trim elements.
- Carry out all MET duties required within your remit.
- Follow manufacturer repair methods to return vehicles to pre-accident condition.
- Carry out fault-finding and diagnostics, and perform road testing as necessary.
- Dismantle and reassemble damaged vehicles in accordance with the prescribed repair method.
- Ensure all jobs are completed within estimated timescales.
- Check that all parts are ordered as per estimate, to ensure the repair can be completed without delay.
- You will ideally hold NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in mechanical repairs, with an ATA qualification being an advantage.
- You will have experience in stripping and refitting vehicles, and be able to work efficiently within a fast-paced Bodyshop.
- You will be capable of working to the highest standard, with sound and up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair techniques.
- You will have strong time management and organisational skills, and be able to take responsibility for the quality and quantity of your own work.
