Job Title: Health and Safety Advisor

Join Joseph Gallagher Limited, a family-owned Civil Engineering business, as a Health and Safety Advisor. We are committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Aid project management teams in maintaining high Health, Safety, and Environmental standards across all projects.
  • Conduct meticulous inspections to ensure SHEQ compliance, company management systems, and industry best practices.
  • Ensure safe maintenance and risk management of plant and materials across projects.
  • Build strong relationships with the workforce, promoting a culture of safety and consistency through our LIFE behaviour program.
  • Support operations planning and delivery.
  • Manage contractors and ensure adherence to HSEQ standards.
  • Conduct equipment inspections as required.
  • Deliver accredited and bespoke training programs.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
  • Valid CSCS card aligned to the job role.
  • Experience and up-to-date knowledge of RC Frameworks and Ground Works.
  • Proficiency in Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Outstanding IT skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email.
  • Proven ability to foster robust working relationships.
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Work experience in Construction, Engineering.
  • TEEPs and TSTS.
  • IEMA Environmental Qualification.
  • Temporary Works Coordinator.
  • Fire Risk Assessor.
  • CoSHH Assessor.
  • Experience with lifting equipment, i.e., Cranes.
  • Knowledge of Behavioural Safety.
  • Trainer/Teaching qualification.
