About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Traffic Management Assistant Engineer within the Traffic & Safety Team in the Environment and Transport Department. This position involves collaborating with the Senior Engineer to support the assessment, design, and execution of traffic management and safety-related initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the design and implementation of improvement programs and projects, ensuring compliance with current standards.
- Engaging in consultations, managing contracts, and supervising project delivery to meet quality and budget expectations.
- Providing technical expertise and guidance to stakeholders, including preparing detailed reports.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience in an engineering environment related to design, management, or maintenance processes.
- Skills in developing and managing traffic management projects, including feasibility studies and detailed design.
- Strong communication abilities to engage with customers and stakeholders effectively.
- A commitment to fostering positive relationships based on trust and transparency.
- Proficiency in report writing in both technical and non-technical formats.
- Knowledge of current legislation and policies relevant to traffic management.
