Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Healthcare Science Associate Practitioner to join our Point of Care Testing (POCT) team in Laboratory Medicine.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing an efficient and high-quality POCT service, working closely with clinical staff to ensure the smooth operation of analytical equipment.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver training sessions on POCT equipment to clinical staff, ensuring they are equipped to use the equipment effectively.
- Manage the distribution and returns of External Quality Assessment (EQA) materials, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Perform audits in areas with POCT equipment and on operators of POCT equipment to ensure compliance with standards.
- Maintain clear and concise communication with users of the service at all times, providing excellent customer service.
Requirements
- HNC/HND or a foundation degree in a science subject or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of how POCT contributes to patient care.
- Ability to drive between community locations.
