Manpower UK is seeking a passionate and skilled culinary professional to become a vital part of our kitchen team on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with a supportive group of experienced chefs who are dedicated to maintaining exceptional culinary standards. This position involves preparing exquisite meals for a variety of catered occasions, including formal dining events, outdoor gatherings, and celebrations.

Compensation: £31,577 per annum, based on previous experience and skills, along with two additional £500 bonuses: upon successful completion of the probationary period and on the anniversary of your employment.

Work Schedule: Straight shifts, five days a week, with no requirement to work during the holiday season.

Position Overview

The Chef de Partie plays a crucial role under the guidance of the Head Chef, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation, hygiene, and cleanliness.

This role is suited for a motivated individual with catering experience and a genuine enthusiasm for food.

You will participate in the planning and preparation of a diverse range of high-quality dishes.

The successful candidate will work within a dynamic kitchen team and be expected to provide support during colleagues' absences and for special events.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with the kitchen team under the direction of the Head Chef or deputy, delivering top-quality food for daily operations and special occasions according to planned menus.
  2. Prepare and present meals for both College and private events with assistance from the kitchen management team.
  3. Contribute to the presentation of food and create visually appealing displays.
  4. Ensure timely completion of tasks according to recipes or under the guidance of the kitchen management team.
  5. Maintain exemplary standards of personal hygiene, cleanliness, and presentation, always wearing the appropriate uniform.
  6. Adhere to the Food Safety Act and General Food Hygiene Regulations.
  7. Possess awareness and understanding of food allergens and appropriate catering practices.
  8. Comply with Health and Safety Regulations, including COSHH.
  9. Engage in any necessary job-related training.
  10. Minimize kitchen waste.
  11. Ensure the security of kitchen supplies, premises, and equipment.
  12. Exhibit professional behavior towards all College members, visitors, and staff.
  13. Maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
  14. Be flexible and willing to assist colleagues as needed.
  15. Perform any other tasks as required by the Head Chef or supervisor on duty.
