Job SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel to support our strategic objectives by providing pragmatic and solutions-focused legal advice on all aspects of our commercial operations. This role will involve managing full life cycle of contract negotiations, execution, and database management, as well as providing general legal support for employment matters and compliance & privacy.
Key Responsibilities- Manage full life cycle of contract negotiations, execution, and database management
- Work with Sales and Finance to finalize sales agreements, construct complex rate plans, and address ad hoc legal questions
- Provide general legal support for employment matters
- Assume principal responsibility for tracking and managing immigration matters for the company's worldwide workforce
- Compliance & Privacy
- Front-line oversight and management of general compliance matters including export, HR, and legal record keeping
- Administer export compliance records and screening procedures
- Liaise with outside counsel on ad hoc compliance issues as they arise
- Advise on relevant privacy law matters
- Issue and track paperwork for new stock option grants, option exercises, send out year-end tax notices
We are looking for a UK-qualified lawyer with at least 5-8 years PQE gained in-house or at a leading law firm. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and advising on different types of commercial transactions, including SaaS sales, reseller, strategic partnerships, consulting partnerships, licensing agreements, and statements of work.
The successful candidate will also have experience collaborating with other cross-functional teams supporting Sales, communicating, and explaining business risks, and drafting language to reflect business stakeholder approvals and feedback. Additionally, the candidate should be able to do some domestic and international travel for the company (1-3 times per year).
