Needlework Instructor

At Places Leisure, we're committed to creating active places and healthy people for communities to thrive. We're looking for a skilled and passionate tutor to join our team and deliver high-quality sewing and quilting classes to adults.

About the Role

You will be responsible for motivating and instructing students to nationally recognized standards, providing a professional and high-quality service to our learners. You will plan engaging lessons and devise a scheme of work to deliver a comprehensive and enjoyable course for your students.

As a tutor, you will be self-motivated and responsible for the subject you deliver, keeping up-to-date with industry practices and seeking out new and interesting subject areas to teach to your classes.

About You

We're looking for a competent teacher with experience in teaching sewing and needlework, preferably with a proven record of teaching adults from beginners to advanced levels. You will have excellent knowledge of needlework within your field and be able to demonstrate and highlight different techniques to students.

You will maintain high standards of personal presentation and be proud to teach others and watch them grow. You will also be proficient in demonstrating different needlework techniques and helping students create their best pieces possible.
