Junior Production Engineer

Orion Electrotech is seeking a motivated and organized Junior Production Engineer to join their team in a highly technical, electro-mechanical manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily engineering support to production teams to ensure smooth operations and resolve any technical issues that may arise.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining production processes, reducing costs, and enhancing product quality.
  • Support the New Product Introduction process to transition new products into production, ensuring timely and efficient deployment.
  • Develop comprehensive build and test instructions for production use, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Participate in time studies and work assessments to help establish standard assembly times, optimizing production efficiency.
  • Support the design and deployment of new tools, fixtures, and equipment to improve assembly processes, enhancing productivity and quality.
Requirements:
  • Degree in an Engineering discipline, with a strong foundation in electro-mechanical systems and production methodologies.
  • Some experience in a technical role within a manufacturing environment is desirable, though not essential.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or 5S practices is advantageous, demonstrating a commitment to process improvement and efficiency.
