Position Overview:
The Project Manager will be accountable for the comprehensive oversight and management of civil engineering projects from inception to completion.

This role demands the delivery of projects within stipulated timelines, budget constraints, and adherence to the highest quality standards, complying with all relevant regulations and safety protocols.

The Project Manager will coordinate with a variety of stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and local authorities, to ensure seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Oversight:
Formulate detailed project plans, timelines, and financial estimates.

Track project advancement, modifying plans as necessary to meet objectives.

Ensure adherence to all statutory obligations, including health and safety standards.

Stakeholder Engagement:
Communicate with clients to ascertain project requirements and expectations.

Serve as the primary liaison between clients, project teams, and subcontractors.

Compile and present regular project updates to stakeholders.

Resource Allocation:
Efficiently distribute resources to meet project deadlines.

Supervise on-site personnel, including engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.

Verify that all team members possess the necessary training and certifications.

Risk Assessment:
Identify potential risks and formulate mitigation strategies.

Ensure completion and compliance of all risk assessments and method statements.

Conduct routine site inspections to identify and resolve any issues.

Quality Assurance:
Oversee all phases of the construction process to guarantee quality standards are upheld.

Implement quality assurance measures and perform regular audits.

Address any non-compliance issues promptly and effectively.

Financial Oversight:
Monitor project budgets, ensuring expenditures align with approved financial plans.

Prepare cost projections and manage the procurement of materials and services.

Authorize and process payments to subcontractors and suppliers.

Contract Oversight:
Administer contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Ensure fulfillment of all contractual obligations and manage any disputes that may arise.

Guarantee compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

Health & Safety Management:
Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety plans.

Ensure all activities comply with HSE regulations.

Conduct regular safety audits and ensure corrective measures are taken.

Qualifications:

Education:
Relevant certifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of project management experience within the civil engineering or construction sector.

Skills:
Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).

Thorough understanding of construction processes and standards.

Working Environment:
Primarily office-based with regular site visits.

Flexibility to work outside standard hours when necessary.

Travel may be required based on project locations.

Compensation:
£50,000 - £60,000
