This role is pivotal in guiding the Marine division through the intricate product certification journey, ensuring adherence to international hydrogen and marine regulations.

The Marine Compliance Specialist will play a crucial role in navigating the product certification landscape, interpreting and aligning with various global standards related to hydrogen and marine operations. This includes, but is not limited to, approvals for engines and hydrogen fuel storage and delivery systems.

The Specialist will serve as a liaison with external entities, such as Classification Societies, to facilitate the exchange of testing and witnessing requirements, while effectively communicating these needs to the engineering and calibration teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee complex project timelines, prioritizing tasks for internal teams.
  • Regularly update management on the status of legislation and compliance projects.
  • Develop new project legislation approvals and coordinate efforts across engineering and production departments to meet safety standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed compliance requirements into the development lifecycle.
  • Coordinate prototype certification testing to validate new designs and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety analyses, including DFMEA, HAZID, HAZOP, HAT, and SAT.
  • Provide ongoing training and mentorship to engineering teams, serving as a resource for technical guidance.


The ideal candidate for the Marine Compliance Specialist position will possess a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in engineering, business, or a related discipline. Experience with classification societies, hydrogen technologies, and sectors such as Oil and Gas, CNG, and LNG is highly desirable.


Additionally, the candidate should have a proven track record in engaging with regulatory bodies and the flexibility to travel internationally, limited to 20% of the overall work schedule.


Proficiency in relevant software applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, and Outlook, is essential, along with exceptional organizational skills.
