About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our client's cutting-edge project at a major infrastructure development in the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your mechanical engineering expertise within a rail environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead all mechanical engineering aspects of the project, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with contractors, stakeholders, and other engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems within the rail infrastructure.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, reviewing work for quality control and adherence to technical specifications.
  • Provide expert guidance on mechanical systems including HVAC, piping, and other essential services.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer within the rail and building services industry is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of UK mechanical engineering standards and rail-specific codes.
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple contractors.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with teams and stakeholders.
  • Availability to work in the office 3-4 days per week.
