Position Overview

The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated and reliable individual to become a vital part of our reception team, responsible for delivering a variety of administrative and clerical tasks.

Work Schedule: 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 13:00.

This role involves acting as a Mobile Receptionist, welcoming patients and serving as the primary contact for any facility-related inquiries.

Location: This position is primarily based at Werneth Primary Care Centre.

The role will also require providing reception coverage at various sites including Glodwick Primary Care Centre, Moorside Medical Centre, Royton Health & Wellbeing Centre, and Integrated Care Centre.

Occasional assistance at other locations may be requested.

Key Responsibilities

You will deliver a precise, confidential, and effective clerical service to support our tenants, ensuring that priorities, deadlines, and inquiries are managed accurately and efficiently.

Your duties will include managing the reception area to assist all tenants, which encompasses greeting patients, scheduling appointments, logging maintenance issues, overseeing the parking area, and coordinating room bookings.

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications

Essential:

  • GCSE or equivalent in English & Maths Grade C or above.

Skills & Abilities

  • Willingness to travel across various sites as required.

Knowledge, Training & Experience

  • Experience in customer service and managing challenging interactions.
  • Familiarity with general office and administrative processes.
  • Basic IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proven experience in a customer-focused environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Quick adaptability and eagerness to learn.
  • Excellent organizational skills.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a reception role.
  • Background in NHS or healthcare settings.
  • Experience operating a switchboard or handling patient calls.
  • General knowledge of room booking systems.
  • Familiarity with NHS clinical systems.
