Position Overview

Role: Refrigeration Systems Technician
Salary: Competitive, c£35k-£37k negotiable based on experience + comprehensive benefits including overtime and pension.

Due to ongoing success and strategic growth initiatives, they are looking to expand their technical support division by hiring a skilled and proactive Refrigeration Systems Technician.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will primarily operate from the main facility, with occasional travel to nearby sites and national installations as required. A valid UK driving license is essential.

  • Conducting planned preventative maintenance and commissioning of various refrigeration systems.
  • Performing reactive troubleshooting and repairs on equipment efficiently.
  • Gaining in-depth knowledge of refrigeration systems and executing necessary safety checks to ensure compliance and operational safety.
  • Diagnosing technical issues, sourcing parts for repairs, and maintaining accurate documentation for service traceability.
  • Completing thorough inspections and generating reports for internal and client use, ensuring all commissioning work meets relevant standards and safety regulations.
  • Providing assistance to the Technical Support and Projects Departments as needed for equipment maintenance, repairs, and installations.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a multi-skilled engineer with expertise in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of refrigeration systems. Strong communication skills at all levels are essential, along with a commitment to adhering to Health and Safety regulations and completing necessary documentation accurately and promptly.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates should possess:

  • F-Gas certification.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a refrigeration environment.
  • Proven electrical skills and experience.
  • Additional experience in testing and repairing Electrical Catering Equipment, basic plumbing, commercial warewashing, and gas systems is highly advantageous.
