Executive Chef

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Chef to join our team at ESS, a leading provider of food and support services to the Defence, Government, and Energy sectors. As a Chef with ESS, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food to our clients and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to meet the needs of our clients and customers.
• Menu Planning: Work with our culinary team to plan and implement new menu ideas and specials.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure that our kitchens are well-stocked and that we are able to meet the needs of our clients and customers.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure that our kitchens are running smoothly and efficiently.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to our clients and customers, ensuring that they are satisfied with the food and service they receive.
• Food Safety and Hygiene: Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in our kitchens, ensuring that we meet all relevant regulations and standards.

Requirements:

• Experience: Proven experience as a Chef in a similar role, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality food and excellent customer service.
• Qualifications: Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent in culinary arts.
• Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of cooks and kitchen staff.
• Food Safety and Hygiene: Hold a Food Hygiene certificate and have a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations and standards.
