Job Summary

NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde is seeking a highly skilled Radiography Professional to join our team as an Advanced Practitioner Reporting Radiographer. This is a fixed-term post for 12 months, offering a unique opportunity to develop your expertise in reporting and clinical practice.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a keen interest in developing their professional portfolio and supporting colleagues within the wider radiology team. As an Advanced Practitioner Reporting Radiographer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality reporting services, working closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert reporting services for plain film MSK imaging, including General Practice, Accident and Emergency, inpatient, and outpatient referrals.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of expertise in radiography, staying up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnoses.
  • Support the development of the four pillars of advanced practice, including education, research, leadership, and service improvement.
  • Contribute to the growth and mentorship of trainee reporting radiographers.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Radiography or a related field.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience in radiography, preferably in a reporting role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A keen interest in developing your professional portfolio and supporting colleagues.
