About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Consultant to join our team at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our emergency care team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our emergency services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in emergency medicine, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective patient care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of emergency care pathways and protocols.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and experience.
  • Participate in teaching and training activities, including the supervision of junior doctors and medical students.
  • Engage in research and quality improvement initiatives to enhance emergency care services.
Requirements
  • Completed Higher Specialist Training in Emergency Medicine or equivalent.
  • Entry on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register via Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR).
  • Full GMC Registration.
  • European Community Rights.
  • Provider status at ALS, ATLS, and either PALS or APLS.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Fellow of College of Emergency Medicine.
  • Subspeciality training in Paediatrics.
  • Interest in developing use of Ultrasound (FAST).
  • Instructor status in either ATLS/APLS/ALS/ETC.
