Position Overview

Gleeson Recruitment Group is in search of a proficient and seasoned Senior Financial Analyst for a prominent, UK-wide private equity-backed organization. This role presents a genuine opportunity for professional growth, where you will actively contribute to the finance department.

This is a newly established, forward-thinking position. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, we are looking for a commercially astute individual to assist during the company's expansion phase. Your responsibilities will encompass participation in the strategic planning process, conducting financial analysis, managing month-end closures, and delivering management insights. Additionally, you will engage in financial reporting, constructing financial models, and making projections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a financial partner, offering insights, guidance, and recommendations to senior management and the Senior Manager.
  • Collaborate with project leaders and cross-departmental teams to formulate project budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Conduct financial analysis and modeling to assess project viability, profitability, and return on investment.
  • Track project variances and risks, providing proactive suggestions to enhance financial performance.
  • Prepare regular financial reports, including variance analysis.
  • Develop and manage long-term financial models and reports across various strategic scenarios.
  • Assist in the preparation of documents, including operational reporting.
  • Support debt cash flow management and month-end closing processes.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in reporting, forecasting, cost analysis, and advanced financial modeling.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Capability to thrive in a dynamic environment, prioritize tasks, and meet stringent deadlines.
