Role Overview
As a key member of our project team, you will be engaged in the deployment of the Oracle Fusion ERP system within NEXT Finance, focusing initially on the overhaul of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger functionalities.
Key Responsibilities
Your position will involve collaborating within the operations sector, concentrating on the transition of procurement and purchasing workflows (goods not for resale), which includes requisition initiation, purchase order creation, approval processes, receipt management, invoice validation, and matching capabilities, alongside the integration of current procurement practices into the new financial system.
As a vital contributor, you will take part in design workshops and aid in formulating the integration strategy for the software transition. You will be tasked with delivering progress reports to the project lead, ensuring meticulousness in your tasks, identifying potential risks or issues for escalation, and confirming that adequate controls are established to mitigate risks.
Your specific duties will encompass:
- Engaging in familiarization workshops
- Designing future workflows and adopting standardized functionalities
- Challenging any deviations from standard functionalities
- Documenting and making design decisions within the project scope
- Reviewing configuration documentation
- Preparing and assessing functional design specifications
- Preparing and evaluating integration design specifications
- Assisting in business impact evaluations
- Contributing to the training strategy
- Planning and executing testing phases
- Conducting user training sessions
- Managing cutover planning and execution
- Providing post-implementation support
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A comprehensive understanding of procurement principles and industry best practices
- Demonstrated experience in driving operational changes with an emphasis on controls and automation
- Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly Oracle Fusion
- Strong self-management and organizational capabilities
