Job Title: Child Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child Psychologist to join our team at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Waitaha Canterbury.

About the Role

The Child, Adolescent & Family Mental Health Service (North Community & Outreach Team) is a specialist mental health service that provides assessment and treatment of young people up to 18 years of age who present with serious mental health problems, and their families/whānau.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive clinical assessment, psychometric testing, and therapeutic interventions individually or in groups as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing clinical assessment and treatment to young people and their families
  • Working collaboratively with community and statutory organisations
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans
  • Providing training and education to other staff members
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology or Child and Family Psychology
  • Experience in a mental health setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
