Electrical Site Manager Job Description

Join ZipRecruiter's team as an Electrical Site Manager and take on a challenging role that requires strong leadership and technical skills. As an Electrical Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of electrical projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Project Manager in developing the construction program, short-term look-ahead planning reports, equipment, and materials schedules.
  • Familiarize yourself with change management procedures and assist the Project Manager in implementing them.
  • Prepare and review method statements and risk assessments with subcontractors.
  • Review construction drawings and sign off on them.
  • Assist in benchmarking installation practices and quality procedures.
Project Construction Phase:
  • Assist the project team in expediting major equipment deliveries.
  • Ensure labor allocation sheets are completed by subcontractors.
  • Effectively manage subcontractor supervision to enable efficient productivity.
  • Ensure subcontractor workforce is on site at the workface on time.
  • Liaise with subcontractors to address available work faces.
  • Integrate with other internal and external supervisors to ensure cross-coordination of trades and installation processes.
  • Take ownership and responsibility of issues to drive out solutions in conjunction with the Project Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Policy, particularly with the operation of work permits, site safety audits, and weekly walkarounds.
Quality:
  • Mark up drawings in conjunction with inspection testing.
  • Ensure inspection test plans are enforced by snagging works, then offering to the client for inspection at various stages of the installation, working to ZERO snags.
  • Liaise with the commissioning engineer to ensure all systems are tested, demonstrated, and handed over.
  • Ensure all statutory notices, schematics, wall charts are in place on site in accordance with the project completion checklist.
  • Ensure your agreed training plan is enforced.
