We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Quality Assurance and Excellence to join our team at EMBS Engineering. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of the quality function, ensuring that our products, processes, and services meet the highest internal and external standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and Enhance the Business Quality Management System: Develop and implement a robust quality management system that meets all regulatory and customer requirements.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, driving the deployment of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Defect Prevention Tools across the business.
- Oversee Audits and Compliance: Plan, prepare, and execute 3rd Party Audits (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP) and manage Internal Audit and Compliance Monitoring programs.
- Quality Leadership and Interface: Serve as the primary Quality lead and interface for all customer-related Quality matters.
- Supplier Quality Management: Establish and embed Supplier Quality targets, ensuring continuous improvement in Supplier performance and reducing the cost of non-conformance.
- Previous Quality Management Experience: Proven track record of delivering results within a precision engineering company that supplies into the Aerospace industry.
- Sound Knowledge of Quality Standards: In-depth understanding of quality standards and knowledge of Quality Management Systems with the ability to maintain and improve.
- Communication and Leadership Skills: Strong communicator with the confidence to liaise effectively with customers and suppliers, coupled with leading audits and customer site visits.
- Continuous Improvement and Problem-Solving: Ability to provide tangible examples of performing continuous improvement activities using problem-solving tools such as; 8D reporting, Kaizen, Six Sigma etc.
