About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer Intern to join our Medical Business Unit. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects, including improving medical device manufacturing processes, resolving production issues, and implementing permanent solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Manufacturing Engineering team in improving medical device manufacturing processes using structured problem-solving skills.
- Support Operations in resolving production issues and implementing permanent solutions.
- Participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) process to identify root cause and determine corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Design and coordinate standard engineering tests and experiments.
- Design, procure, and fabricate tooling and fixtures.
- Assist in planning, organization, and conducting all aspects of technical studies.
- Assist in writing Manufacturing Process Instructions.
- Provide engineering support for other departments as needed.
- Work on special administrative projects as directed and prioritized by manager such as data entry, data analysis, filing, organizing, and maintaining files.
Requirements
- Have received a High School Diploma or GED.
- Be currently enrolled in a program or pursuing a BA/BS or MA/MS Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other related engineering program from an accredited college or university or have equivalent work history.
- Have previous internship or large project experience is preferred.
- Be authorized to work in the U.S.
