Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify their needs and develop effective support plans.
  • Developing and implementing care plans and interventions to address the complex needs of children and families.
  • Managing a caseload of children in need, providing regular updates and progress reports to stakeholders.

  • Ensuring compliance with statutory guidelines and safeguarding procedures to maintain the highest standards of practice.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and documentation to support decision-making and service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England (SWE).
  • Proven experience working with children and families, ideally within a Children in Need context, with a strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding principles.
  • Strong assessment, planning, and intervention skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and multi-agency teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and service users.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with external agencies to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, with a strong understanding of the importance of child-centered practice.
