Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the finance team on SAP FICO-related matters.
  • Lead the implementation of technical changes to the SAP system, ensuring compliance with financial and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external audit teams to ensure effective implementation of SOX controls.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to eliminate waste and simplify processes within SAP FICO.
  • Review and refine existing designs for critical and major processes, including interfaces to other systems.
  • Work with internal controllership teams and business teams to develop remediation plans for defects.
  • Support discussions with internal and external audit teams, providing technical and functional expertise.
  • Deliver projects on time and on budget, ensuring high-quality results.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with substantial technical experience in the SAP Finance Module.
  • Experience working in a multinational business, including experience with US GAAP and SOX.
  • Prior experience in removing SOD conflicts and providing best practices for aligning finance functions with required controls.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate functional requirements into technical specifications.
  • Experience implementing technical requirements in SAP through collaboration with ABAP teams.
  • Experience with user access, roles, and responsibilities management in SAP FI.
  • Prior experience working with auditors at advanced levels and external on SAP financial controls, best practices, and implementation.
  • Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and on budget.
Desired Characteristics
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, etc.).
  • Previous experience in an audit role, post, or qualification.
  • Knowledge of best practice governance, risk management, and compliance in a large enterprise.
  • Good understanding of SOX controls.
  • Experience with IT governance, IT risk, IT audit, IT operations, or related fields.
