An exceptional opportunity has emerged to become a vital member of our dedicated Cardio-respiratory team.
We are in search of a driven and passionate Senior Cardiac Physiologist with a focus on Cardiac Rhythm Management and Implantable Devices, committed to delivering exemplary care and support to patients within our healthcare system.
Ideal candidates will possess BHRS or IBHRE accreditation, enabling them to operate independently as a proficient Physiologist.
Key Responsibilities
Collaboration with the Clinical Lead Pacing Physiologist is essential to enhance and maintain the pacemaker service for our patient population. You will be expected to execute a variety of intricate procedures with skill and independence, interpreting results through advanced expertise and theoretical understanding.
As an autonomous practitioner within a collaborative environment, you will ensure the delivery of an effective and efficient service while upholding high standards of patient care.
Your role will encompass a comprehensive range of routine diagnostic assessments conducted within the department, including several highly specialized procedures.
Proficiency in the Welsh language is preferred for this position; however, applications from both English and Welsh speakers are encouraged.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent qualifications
- Registration with the Council for Clinical Physiologists or equivalent
- Associate for SCST examination or equivalent
- IBHRE / BHRS Accreditation or equivalent experience
Desirable
- Recognized qualification in teaching or mentorship
- Immediate Life Support (ILS) certification
- Clinical skills training

- Experience as a lead physiologist during pacemaker implantation and follow-up
- Proven competence in performing and reporting specialized cardiac investigations
- Experience in training and supervising students and junior staff
