Person Specification

Education/Qualifications

Essential Criteria

  • RGN/NMC Registered
  • Relevant post-registration qualification in haematology
  • Assessors/Mentorship qualifications/Teaching qualification

Desirable Criteria

  • Advanced communication skills

Knowledge and Experience

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum of 18 months of Haem-Oncology experience in an acute clinical setting

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in an outpatient Day Care setting
  • Previous experience as Band 6 staff

Skills, Abilities and Attributes

Essential Criteria

  • Cannulation and phlebotomy
  • Competent in the care and management of CVADs
  • IT skills

Desirable Criteria

  • Ability to deliver highly sensitive information
