Job Summary:
Teledyne UK Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Payroll Manager to oversee and manage the company's payroll operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the company meets its contractual, statutory, and legal obligations to its employees, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruit, develop, motivate, and manage a team of payroll professionals.
Regularly review team performance, manage objectives, and agree on developmental actions.
Ensure team members are up-to-date with legislative changes and communicate effectively with stakeholders and business areas.
Own and manage the employee payment process, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and mitigating financial penalties.
Manage pension contributions, reporting, and implementation of SMARTEnrol.
Payrolling benefits, including CCV, C2W, electric vehicles, and healthcare.
Manage National Minimum Wage potential breaches on salary sacrifice schemes.
Process share exercises and the Employee Share Purchase Plan.
Liaise with ADP on National Minimum Wage checks and Average Rate of Pay.
Work with KPMG on reporting under Appendix 4 and shadow payrolls.
Interface with payroll-related service vendors to resolve problems and address operational issues.
Prepare and report the PSA.
Point of escalation for queries and complaints.
Manage the relationship with ADP and the service provided with iHCM.
Requirements:
Proven expertise in Payroll Management and staff management at individual and team levels.
CIPP Qualified (Level 5 minimum) and Member of the CIPP.
Ability to recruit and identify new team members.
Ability to train, coach, and develop team members and colleagues.
Strong team player with the ability to coordinate staff to work to tight deadlines.
Excellent written and communication skills with the ability to present information to management at high levels.
Experience in ADP iHCM payroll, ADP Workforce Manager timekeeping, or other ADP payroll software and applications.
Understanding and execution of change management principles and systems integration.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build strong working relationships with Teledyne staff across departments and 3rd parties.
Proactive with excellent attention to detail and ability to plan, organize, and deliver to tight deadlines.
Methodical approach to work with the ability to monitor and control processes and procedures.
Strong skills to plan and control projects involving directing team members.
Fully professional approach and behavior with a high level of personal integrity.
Proactive self-starter with drive, energy, commitment, and enthusiasm to achieve results.
Forward thinker with the ability and drive to continuously develop and improve systems and processes.
Proven track record of working under pressure, prioritizing tasks, and meeting strict deadlines.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Excel and Word.
Desirable Qualifications:
Experience with ADP Workforce Manager.
Experience with Workday.
