About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to join our Platform Nuclear Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for facilitating the Reactor Plant build and commissioning delivery programme through innovative engineering solutions and problem-solving.

You will ensure the maintenance of Reactor Plant design intent during the build and commissioning phases, supporting assessment of plant design changes, and assessing plant build maturity for entry into subsequent build phases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the Reactor Plant build and commissioning delivery programme
  • Maintain Reactor Plant design intent during build and commissioning phases
  • Support assessment of plant design changes
  • Assess plant build maturity for entry into subsequent build phases
  • Provide technically sound challenges to existing requirements
  • Write and present reports to communicate nuclear issues to internal and external stakeholders
  • Liaise with MoD authorities, Naval Authorities, and assurance agencies as required
  • Lead the assessment and management of complex inter-domain or inter-function issues
  • Technical approval of team outputs
  • Represent RTG and PAG
  • Manage WBTA Letter of Delegation
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Degree Qualified Engineering/Physical Science discipline
  • Knowledge of the nuclear industry and Nuclear Regulations
  • Previous exposure to Engineering Lifecycle
  • Previous Nuclear plant experience

Desirable:

  • Proven technical report writing skills
  • Presentation skills
