We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic team at Absolute Taste, a leading international events company. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen team and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the kitchen team and work closely with the Head Chef to develop and implement menus and recipes.
- Ensure that all food is prepared, produced, and packed to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and stock rotation to minimize waste and optimize efficiency.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the highest quality ingredients and products.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to create new and innovative menu ideas and recipes.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned to prevent cross-contamination and maintain a safe working environment.
- Develop and implement effective training programs for kitchen staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties.
- Monitor and control food costs to ensure that they are within budget.
- Ensure that all food safety and hygiene protocols are followed at all times.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a high-end fine dining restaurant or similar environment.
- Proven track record of leading a kitchen team and achieving high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene protocols, with the ability to implement and maintain effective systems.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a strong focus on collaboration and communication.
