This role presents an exciting opportunity to join our Finance team, focusing on coordinating and executing month-end and year-end financial processes. You will collaborate with Functional heads to meet financial objectives, support governance processes at the Belfast site, and liaise with Finance Leadership teams as necessary on financial planning and control activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct period-end activities to ensure accurate classification and validation of financial data, including manual journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare management reports for relevant financial processes.
  • Standardize processes and reports across various sites and business units.
  • Ensure data integrity in the general ledger and sub-ledgers through various controls, including reconciliations.
  • Oversee the procedures and methodologies of relevant financial processes, ensuring consistency across sites.
  • Provide preliminary insights on actuals and identify variances against budget and forecasts.
  • Ensure appropriate accounting treatment for all activities and transactions.
  • Engage in the budgeting and forecasting process by supplying accurate historical data and monitoring business performance against targets.
  • Analyze financial reports and communicate findings to operational teams to clarify performance and identify key drivers.
  • Participate in operational meetings and daily site management to swiftly identify risks and opportunities, driving financial performance.
  • Support process improvements, optimizations, and special projects.
  • Contribute actively to knowledge sharing within the team.
Qualifications

Qualified membership of a recognized CAAB accountancy body is essential.
