We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Biomedical Scientist to join our Immunology Laboratory team at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic services to patients, working closely with our Clinical Immunology team to ensure accurate and timely results.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct complex immunological tests and assays, including autoimmunity and allergy testing
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable results
- Collaborate with our Clinical Immunology team to provide expert advice and support
- Participate in the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures and protocols
- Contribute to the training and development of junior staff members
- State registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- MSc or equivalent academic achievement in a relevant field
- Post-registration specialty training in Immunology
- Significant post-registration experience in a laboratory setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
