Job Title: Technical and Finance Manager

Trace – Expert Accountancy Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Technical and Finance Manager to join their team. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for leading on all things tax, VAT, and GiftAid.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement tax and VAT strategies to ensure compliance with HMRC guidance and legislation.
  • Advise on the tax implications of projects and new initiatives, providing expert analysis and returns to other bodies.
  • Oversee the preparation of VAT, tax, customs, and payroll-related returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Supervise monthly checks on the payroll file to ensure staff are paid accurately and on time.
  • Review procedures and undertake analysis to ensure the Museum and all entities are compliant with HMRC guidance and legislation.
  • Oversee investment management and reporting, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Train team members and the wider Museum on VAT and tax matters, ensuring a high level of understanding and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIPFA)
  • Expert in tax, VAT, payroll, and GiftAid
  • Line management experience, either in industry or in practice
