The Roseate Reading Hotel is renowned for its exceptional attention to detail, ensuring a personalized and luxurious experience for every guest. The hotel boasts a stunning design, highlighted by exquisite features such as an intricate chandelier adorned with 86,000 Italian-glass beads, along with plush furnishings and elegant wallpapers that create a sophisticated atmosphere. Originally the Shire Hall for the Berkshire County Council, the building has been meticulously restored, preserving its historical charm with wide hallways, vaulted ceilings, and original architectural details.

We are seeking a skilled individual to join our culinary team as a Line Cook. This role presents an exciting opportunity to collaborate with our Head Chef on a new fine dining concept, offering significant career advancement potential.

General Overview:

Your primary focus will be on delivering outstanding customer service, characterized by a friendly and knowledgeable approach.

Please be aware that this position requires working split shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all dishes on the hotel menus.
  • Prepare and present dishes in accordance with guest preferences.
  • Adhere to portion control guidelines to ensure kitchen profitability.
  • Conduct temperature checks on food and storage areas as directed.
  • Assist in quality control and menu planning as needed.
