We are seeking a dedicated and passionate ESOL Lecturer to join our team at Wakefield College. As a Lecturer in ESOL, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is committed to helping learners achieve their goals and integrate into society while gaining a deeper understanding of diverse cultures. You will be responsible for teaching on a range of courses from Pre-Entry to Level 1, using appropriate teaching strategies to support learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans and assessments
  • Provide support and guidance to students to help them achieve their goals
  • Contribute to the development of the ESOL curriculum and teaching strategies
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment
Requirements
  • GCSE A* - C in Maths and English qualifications or equivalent (new grading 9-4) as a minimum
  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject area (desirable)
  • Level 5 subject specialism (desirable)
  • PGCE (desirable)
