Child Contact Facilitator

Job Summary:
The Family Contact Worker will play a vital role in facilitating and supervising Contact arrangements between children and their parents. This position requires a high level of emotional intelligence, effective communication skills, and the ability to work with diverse families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and supervise Contact arrangements between children and their parents, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Contribute to the assessment of children and families in need, using a recognized framework to identify and address their needs.
- Develop and maintain accurate records of Contact visits, including observations, assessments, and action plans.
- Work collaboratively with Social Workers and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive understanding of each child's needs and circumstances.
- Provide support and guidance to families, helping them to navigate the Contact process and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Ensure that all aspects of the Contact visit are managed effectively, including ensuring that Contacts take place as planned and addressing any behavioral or emotional issues that may arise.
- Monitor and review action plans, ensuring that they are implemented and effective in addressing the needs of the child and family.
- Participate in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices and procedures in child contact and social work.
Requirements:
- Hold a valid UK driver's license and have access to a vehicle.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Be committed to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with best practices in child contact and social work.
