About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Care Home Manager to join our team at HC-One Ltd. As a key member of our management team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our residents.

Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the day-to-day operations of the care home, including staff management, occupancy, marketing, and recruitment. You will be responsible for promoting a caring environment that provides residents with a high standard of personal care, meeting individual needs, and ensuring everyone is treated with respect and dignity.

Daily Duties:

  • Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to maintain and increase the reputation of the care home within the local community.
  • Ensure occupancy levels are maintained and commercial business targets are met.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with local community groups and organizations to promote the care home and its services.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for residents and staff, including fire safety and health and safety requirements.
  • Conduct regular staff supervisions and appraisals to ensure the highest standard of person-centred care is delivered.
  • Oversee key areas within the home, including front of house, catering, and housekeeping.

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven knowledge of sales and marketing principles and practices.
  • Skilled in recruitment, selection, and retention of staff, with a focus on delivering high-quality care.
  • Committed to a structured approach to training and development of staff, with a focus on delivering person-centred care.
  • Understanding of the Care Standards Act and Health & Safety legislation, with the ability to ensure compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, staff, and external partners.
  • A professional, confident, and warm personality, with a caring disposition.
  • Leadership qualities, enthusiasm, and influencing and motivational skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
  • Ability to provide an out-of-hours on-call service, as required.
  • Ability to provide cover for absent managers at other care homes, as required.
