About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Examiner to join our team at Pearson, the world's leading learning company. As an Examiner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of our GCSE Urdu marking process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mark candidates' responses in accordance with our pre-defined mark scheme, while adhering to our conditions of recognition and examination procedures.
  • Utilize our ePEN system to mark scripts, which can be done from home, or work with paper scripts sent through the postal service.
  • Ensure a high level of subject knowledge to apply the mark scheme effectively.
  • Submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times and adhere to marking milestones.
  • Complete all administrative tasks as specified.

Requirements

  • You will hold a degree or equivalent qualification.
  • You will be a qualified teacher, with qualifications obtained in the UK or overseas.
  • You will have a minimum of 5 months part-time teaching experience of the relevant qualification and subject, within the last 10 years, obtained within the UK.
  • We will consider applicants with assessment experience with a recognised UK exam board, within the last 5 years, relevant to the qualification and subject being applied for.

  • You will have a high level of subject knowledge in order to apply the mark scheme.
