Drainage Engineer Opportunity

Zodiac Recruitment is seeking a talented Drainage Engineer to join our team in Glasgow. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing Flood Risk Assessments, drainage, and highway infrastructure design on various projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Produce technical reports, including Flood Risk Assessments, Technical Notes, and Drainage Strategy reports.
  2. Develop technical highway and drainage designs to support S104, S38, and S278 applications.
  3. Manage projects with moderate supervision, ensuring outputs are delivered on time and to an excellent standard.
  4. Write reports and liaise with clients and project managers on project management and coordination.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, innovations, and best practices in infrastructure engineering and construction.
Requirements:
  1. A degree in Civil Engineering or a related subject.
  2. A minimum of 3 years' experience in UK development-related infrastructure engineering.
  3. Demonstrate suitable knowledge of relevant design standards, including DMRB, Manual for Streets, Sewers for Adoption, local road standards, and relevant national planning policy.
  4. Experience in the preparation of highways and drainage design, particularly S38, S278, and S104 processes.
  5. Experience in writing flood risk assessments and/or drainage strategy reports for development projects.
  6. Knowledge and application of drainage design from first principles and experience in the use of Microdrainage and/or Causeway flow software.
  7. Motivated, enthusiastic, and committed to further developing your career in Civil Engineering.
  8. Competent in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and welcome competence in Power BI and Access.
  9. Experience in the use of AutoCAD and Civils 3D.
  10. A full UK driving license, as the role may require visiting sites only accessible by car.
