About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our team at Oliver Smith Recruitment. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our finance team with various tasks, including preparing and raising sales invoices, managing accounts payable, and reconciling bank statements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and raise sales invoices and credit notes
  • Upload invoices to portals and email clients
  • Manage accounts payable invoices, including supplier statement reconciliations
  • Post purchase invoices to the accounting system to complete supplier statement reconciliations
  • Perform weekly bank reconciliations for all bank accounts
  • Cash post sundry payments
  • Reconcile company credit card statements and post monthly journals
  • Reconcile key balance sheet accounts on a periodic basis
  • Assist the finance team as needed
  • Manual filing of invoices
  • Support with annual audit
