Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at Merrist Wood College. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting learners across a range of courses, ensuring their wellbeing and academic success.
Key Responsibilities- Support learners in a variety of settings, including classrooms, stables, animal enclosures, and outdoor areas.
- Assist with timetabled activities and provide support to learners to ensure they reach their full academic potential.
- Establish good working relationships with learners to enable them to build and develop their confidence and motivation.
- Work collaboratively with the tutor and learner to ensure that the learning is appropriate to meet their needs.
- E-Literate and competent in IT packages, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
- A creative approach to motivating learners and an innovative approach to delivering support.
- Experience of working in an FE environment is advantageous but not essential.
- A Level 3 Support Assistant qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
