Actuarial Trainee Opportunity

Broadstone is seeking a highly motivated and numerate individual to join our team as an Actuarial Trainee. This exciting opportunity will provide the successful candidate with a wide range of experiences and skills in actuarial services, including financial modelling, data analysis, and client relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development of financial models for insurance clients, including data reconciliation, model point testing, and model development.
  • Contribute to experience analyses, including morbidity, mortality, and persistency.
  • Set up valuation runs in Mo.net financial modelling software.
  • Calculate policy liabilities, alongside resilience, expense reserves, and other required reserves in Excel.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation.
Requirements:
  • On track to graduate with a 2.1 or above at bachelor's degree level (numerate degree preferable).
  • A level (or equivalent) at Grade B or above in Maths.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and high levels of numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under own initiative and be an enthusiastic, proactive team member.
  • Ability to effectively manage work streams for multiple clients.
  • Discipline to work to strict scheduled deadlines.
