Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design and Development Engineer to join our team at Jobit. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing conveyor systems, producing technical documentation, and ensuring compliance with specified briefs and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop conveyor systems, including creating 3D models and technical drawings in line with company CAD standards.
  2. Ensure designs meet project briefs, relevant standards, and regulations.
  3. Conduct technical analysis to enhance system functionality and Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA).
  4. Carry out site visits to support project delivery.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer or in a similar role.
  2. At least 4 years of experience in mechanical design.
  3. Understanding of the design process and its documentation.
  4. Familiarity with manufacturing processes and mechanical design principles.
  5. Skilled in 3D CAD software (Autodesk Inventor preferred).
  6. Awareness of Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA).
  7. Relevant qualification in design or engineering (HNC, degree, etc.).
