Job Title: School Caretaker

We are seeking a reliable and experienced School Caretaker to join our team at Aspire People Limited. As a School Caretaker, you will be responsible for maintaining the security and upkeep of school buildings and grounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carrying out security procedures for school buildings and grounds
  • Opening and closing of school premises, including gates, doors, windows, and fire exits
  • Regularly checking the proper operation and function of alarms and fire equipment
  • Liaising with emergency services, including calling out as required
  • Reporting acts of theft or vandalism
  • General maintenance duties around the school, including litter picking
Requirements:
  • A strong work ethic and a background working in similar positions
  • Experience dealing with alarm systems and key holding
  • Comfortable working on a temporary and day-to-day basis
  • Ability to pass relevant checks required for working with and around children, including references and an enhanced DBS check
