Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our team at Knowles Transport. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our warehouse function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving and Storing Goods: Take delivery of goods and supplies, store them in a safe and secure manner, and maintain accurate records of stock levels.
- Picking and Loading: Pick and prepare stock for loading, ensuring that it is loaded correctly and safely for transit.
- Stock Management: Maintain accurate records of stock levels, assist with stock taking as required, and ensure that the warehouse and work area are clean and tidy.
- Communication: Respond to internal customer queries, deal with customer communication, and maintain effective communication with colleagues.
- Teamwork: Encourage teamwork within the workplace, maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security, and report any concerns or near misses to the Site Manager.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year's experience of working within a warehouse environment.
- Forklift Truck Certificate, Counterbalance, Pivot, Flexi/Bendi trucks (MEWP) Scissor Lift Certificate desirable.
- Ability to work as assigned in either office or warehouse environments.
- Professional in appearance.
- Diligent attention to detail and attention to safety of themselves and others around the workplace.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Highly organized, self-sufficient, and able to work on own initiative and to tight deadlines.
- Flexible in approach to work and adaptable to fit into different teams and environments.
- Confident and approachable.
- Chemical and Manual Handling Trained desirable but not essential as training will be given.
- Must hold a full UK driving license and have own transportation to work.
Accountable KPI's:
- Customer Service - Accuracy of stock levels when picking orders - 98%.
- Quality - Ensure product is loaded correctly and safely for transit - 99%.
- Cost - Ensure safe storage and loading to eradicate breakages - 1%.
