Role Overview:

The Business Partnering Accountant will report directly to the Head of Business Partnering and collaborate closely with another accountant in the same division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare month-end reports, ensuring the timely and precise generation of management reports, with thorough analysis of significant variances against budgets and forecasts.
  • Assist in the creation of forecasts and budgets to support the commercial sector.
  • Lead discussions during month-end, forecast, and budget reviews.
  • Engage in business partnering, providing decision-making support to divisional leaders.
  • Facilitate the financial integration of new acquisitions and the implementation of innovative systems and processes.
  • Identify operational efficiencies, cost-saving opportunities, and revenue enhancement strategies.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Part Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACA, or ACCA) with a graduate background.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a commercial environment.
  • Preferred experience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of UK accounting standards and practices.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in IT, particularly financial systems and CRM platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to evaluate information and processes effectively.
  • Motivated to foster and maintain relationships both internally and externally.
  • Proactive mindset regarding business growth and the ability to challenge business partners when necessary.
  • Commitment to ethical standards and adherence to company policies and financial regulations.
